If you know which form of contraception you desire, you will be screened (appropriateness, rule out pregnancy) and prescribed same day. If you are seeking education on options, you will receive verbal and handwritten information and can return to the clinic the following Wednesday for desired contraception. Those who need refills or removals will be seen same-day.
To prevent delay of contraception it is recommended to:
- Abstain from intercourse 14 days prior
- Use barrier protection (condoms) 14 days prior
- Continue to use reliable method of contraception
