Allergy & Immunizations
We provide immunotherapy (allergy shots) as follows:
-
For allergy immunotherapy patients building up, we will provide injections up to once per week.
-
For patients receiving monthly maintenance allergy immunotherapy, we will now provide injections every 4 weeks
-
We will continue to provide Xolair (Omalizumab) for the treatment of asthma as scheduled.
If you are a new patient trying to receive allergy treatment, then we ask that you contact your Primary Care Manager (PCM) to place a consult for allergy treatment.
Please call the front desk at 301-677-8522 to schedule your immunotherapy. We are an appointment-based clinic for immunotherapy services.
Allergy and Pre-Deployment patients have priority.
Immunizations
Any patient wanting to receive an immunization is required to have an electronic health record order from their health care provider authorizing it. If there is no documentation in the patient’s electronic health record then the patient must present a physical medical prescription from their health care provider authorizing the administering of a vaccine.
Traveling Outside of the US?
All family members and retirees must be seen in the Travel Clinic prior to receiving any overseas vaccinations. Please make an appointment with the Travel Clinic at 301-677-8402. The Travel Clinic is located at T-2473, in the trailers next to the Kimbrough facility (across from the Armed Forces Wellness Center).
Service members on active duty orders deploying or leaving for a permanent change of station (PCS) receive overseas vaccinations at the Immunizations Clinic on a walk-in basis.
